THE JOURNEY HOME:
LEARNING TO LIVE FROM THE HEART
ADULTS AND YOUTH
We spend our lives as human beings on a quest to discover our Basic Goodness—a quest to uncover the unique potential which can blossom in every one of us as human beings. This unique potential, “Basic Goodness,” Tibetan Buddhist teacher, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, declared, we can discover by cultivating the practices of mindful living in the midst of the chaos that often characterizes our lives in the 21st Century.
Beginning March 7, 2017, First U’s Community Minister, Dale Lantz, will offer a class that will give you the opportunity to name and deepen the Basic Goodness that marks your life. The class will offer guidance in using mindfulness practices such as yoga, meditation, focusing and journaling as tools for your journey. The class will meet on First and Third Tuesdays thru June 20th, 2017 from 7:00 – 8:30p.m.
Participants are invited to begin preparation for the class by identifying the ongoing themes that have characterized their lives from birth up until the present time. Participants are invited to name one text that has that powerfully influences their life. Mr. Lantz is glad to consult with you in deciding on a text.
Whether you are a beginner in yoga, meditation or journaling, you are invited to share and to build habits for mindful living. Please register for the class by signing up at the Adult RE Table during Coffee Hour, or by calling or e-mailing Dale Lantz at 443-223-4861 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
