Our elementary (1st grade through 5th grade) students meet in the downstairs classroom behind the kitchen. Classes are held on Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., before worship service. (Adult programming is offered at the same time.)
Registration is required, but parents can register their kids after their first visit. Click for online registration.
If you’re visiting for the first time, please make sure to tell your children’s teachers about any allergies or special needs your children have. We want to keep your children safe, happy, and engaged!
About our lead Explorers Teacher (Block 5)
Rev. Diana Davies
Diana Davies is completing the second year of her internship at First Unitarian and will be graduating with an MDiv from Meadville Lombard Theological School this spring. Diana also teaches chair yoga at the Joy and Wellness Center and hatha yoga in area prisons. She studies flamenco and four foreign languages (Spanish, Russian, Welsh and Hungarian), and likes cooking vegan food with her husband Jim and taking walks with her greyhound, Bran. Before going to seminary, Diana worked in the field of international education. Immigration and intercultural understanding are topics that are dear to her heart, so she is very happy to be teaching the children’s RE class “With Justice and Compassion: Immigration” this spring.
